Spoiled dog.

Gluing on handles.

This time of year, coating tankards is a family affair.

A full moon.  I have tried and tried and tried to photograph a full moon and can never do justice to its beauty.

Younger Daughter watching the moonrise.

Yesterday was a day of high winds and lots of blowing dust.  There's supposed to be a mountain in this picture.

The dust and clouds disguised the sun in a dramatic fashion.

The half-grown chickens tucked themselves under the car to dodge the wind.

  1. I can sympathize with the home business taking over the house like that...ours does too. And, our children are right by our sides through most of it. :-)

  2. We too had some pretty gusty winds here yesterday. I heard some blow-downs in the woods nearby, and the garden was parched by day's end. We could see lightning out over the sound and islands, but none here, thank goodness.

When I went out this morning it smalled and felt like autumn has come. We're already seeing a lot of leaf-drop and yellow maples...way too early. We're thinking it might be a long, hard winter.
