The beauty of bounty

The harvest season is just starting here in north Idaho. To me there are few things more beautiful than windrows of mown hay, of bales stacked high, fields of ripening wheat. This is all courtesy of my heroes, the farmers. These hard-working men and women often work from before dawn to after dark, bring in the bounty.

This is timothy, a superior feed for livestock.

Grass hay.

More timothy.

Bluegrass.

Lentils.

Wheat.

Someone's bringing in hay for winter livestock feed.
