I do NOT intend to turn this into a book blog -- truly I don't -- but I have a couple loose ends to tie up before moving onto different subjects.
Some lovely people took the time to write reviews, and I wanted to make sure they were posted. These are also posted on the Simplicity Primer website.
Paul Wald over at Salt Creek Life (whose blog radio show has had me on as a guest a time or two in the past) posted some kind words on his site.
Jenny up at The Last Frontier (the seriously remote Alaskan Bush) posted this on her site:
Sallie at A Quiet Simple Life posted a review here.
Thank you all for your reviews!

Best Northern Idaho Blog About Cows, Preparedness, and Wooden Tankards
Rural Revolution has won another award! Yes, the fine gentleman over at Salt Creek Life has granted us the coveted "Best Northern Idaho Blog About Cows, Preparedness, and Wooden Tankards" award. Can you believe it?
The award comes with a custom-designed logo, too. We're so honored!

Politically correct literature
Paul Wald at SaltCreekLife.com has a few choice words to say about the politically-correct rewriting of Huckleberry Finn. Among his other gems, he suggested this PC version of Shakespeare:
Shakespeare – Merchant of Venice act 3 scene 1
If you prick us, do we not bleed?
if you tickle us, do we not laugh?
Shakespeare – Merchant of Venice act 3 scene 1 – for today’s student
If you poke us, won’t we un-friend?
if you tickle us, don’t we LOL?
This sent me into peals of...well, LOL.

It's a small world
Wanna hear something cool?
You might remember a few months ago I had two BlogTalkRadio interviews with Paul Wald of SaltCreekLife.
Well Paul was in Kansas City recently, and he visited the Kansas City Renaissance Festival and saw our booth! KC, as we call it, is the cause of all our recent busyness. Our booth managers Tess and D are a husband/wife team who have been selling our tankards for well over a decade. Together they are the most awesome sales team on the planet.
Anyway, Paul took the following photos and gave me permission to post them here.
Thanks, Paul!

On the radio again!

Yes, once again I'm putting my head in the noose and going on the radio this afternoon (Sunday June 6) at 4 pm Pacific time. Specifically I'll be on Blog Talk Radio (here's the link). Paul Wald of SaltCreekLife.com will interview me as he did before, and the topics of discussion will include craft businesses and self-sufficiency.
If you can tune in, welcome!

On the radio again!
It never rains but it pours. After my heart-stopping adventure on the radio last week, I was invited by a blogger named Paul Wald to be on his Blog Talk Radio on Sunday April 18 at 4 pm (Pacific time). Check out his announcements here and here. This interview will be based on our homesteading experiences. I'm less worried about this now that I've had a bit of experience. And Paul seems like a terrific fellow.
