Younger Daughter and I were in Spokane last week doing errands, when we passed a startling sight: a new dental office.
Obviously it wasn't the office itself that was startling. It was what they had perched on TOP the office. Namely ... a giant octopus.
Far be it for me to question the advertising tactics of a business, but I have to wonder what on earth an octopus has to do with dentistry or orthodontics. Am I missing something?
Personally I thought the overall effect was, well, terrifying -- especially if you're a little kid going to the dentist for the first time.
Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe enormous mutant red-and-pink octopi are the latest in phenomenal sales tactics for dental offices.
I certainly hope so, since they have a big one. And I can imagine they don't come cheap.
