If this blog is a little quiet over the next few days, it's because Don and I are having a Huge Yard Sale and we've been elbow-deep in getting ready for it.
This yard sale has been delayed numerous times. We had been watching the weather for weeks.
It was almost uncanny how the weather stayed clear during the weekdays, but had ONE SPIKE of rain at some inconvenient time, solely (it seemed) to interfere with setting out merchandise for sale.
Finally it all came together with a nice long dry stretch, so we've been doing yard sale prep like crazy.
So standby until early next week when I'll have a full write-up on whether or not we were successful in offloading a large amount of unneeded possessions.

Love that drying rack!

I am shocked to see that much clothing at your sale. I remember reading long ago your closet held 4 work outfits and 1 or 2 Sunday dress. Don likewise in his part of closet.
ReplyDeleteThat became my solution to having to buy a new house. Patrice lives life with this much clothing. Get rid of what you do not wear. Years later we still have lots of very nice clothing that age has rendered unwearable.
Ha, nope. About three of those garments are mine. The rest belong to Older Daughter, who is very much a clothes horse. I wouldn't be caught dead with this much clothing.

That looks just like my drying rack! I could use another one. Maybe I will swing by😉
ReplyDeleteMy husband & I need to do a major clean out, but 1st I need the time. Also we've had a few at our home & we don't have good traffic and for all our effort might make $100. So for me not worth all my time & effort to make it together.
ReplyDeleteI think we will start looking at Facebook Marketplace for individual items that might be worth a little more.
