I'm still trying to get photos of chickens in the compost pile for my Backwoods Home Magazine article on composting I submitted last week. Up until now I was lucky if I could catch one or two hens scratching around. But today I hit the jackpot -- the whole flock descended en masse to eat the worms I uncovered as I dug up a wheelbarrow of compost to put on the garden. I snapped a bunch of pix and I'm posting them here in case my editor would like to use any.

Hello there wonderful lady. I love the new profile fotos you posted. Oh and the chicken fotos are all wonderful. I especiallylike 23 and 24. It's almost as if he's posing. lol
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Hugs and blessings your way...(and to your family)

I can't seem to find your composting article in the Backwoods Home Magazine.
ReplyDeleteOh it hasn't been printed yet. I just turned it in last Monday. I think it will be out in the May/June issue, not positive. I've found it's easiest to post possible illustrative photos on the blog for my editor to choose whichever she likes.

I'll look for it then. Thank you!

ReplyDeleteNow that is black gold!!!
ReplyDeleteWe are envious of the bare ground in your new pics. In the UP, we still have two feet of snow in our garden space, not counting the 6 new inches we got last night. More on the way.

ReplyDeleteIf you do, I can send you the high-res original photo.
