Difficulties posting comments

I just received a comment from someone indicating several of his previous comments have not been posted, and he wondered if I deleted them.  He's not the first to mention this issue.

Just so everyone knows, I very, very seldom delete comments unless they're vulgar, full of profanity, or advertising something.  So if your comments are not getting posted, it means I never got them.  Honestly!  They're not in my spam folder either - they just seem to disappear.   I'm not kidding, even my husband posted a comment this morning and it hasn't come through for moderation.  Where it went, I have no idea.

So if your comments aren't getting posted, it doesn't mean I'm deleting them, it simply means I haven't seen them.  We've had one or two people figure out what the problem was on their end, so if they'd be kind enough to post how they overcame those issues, I'd be grateful.  Thanks!

  1. I found that after I type my comment, if I click "post comment" it usually doesn't ever show up. If I click "preview" first, and then click "post", it works every time.
I'm not sure if it's the same issue everyone else is having, but it worked for me.

  2. I've tried twice to post a comment that didn't show up. I did it both ways (clicked "post" only and clicked both buttons), and neither post evidently got through. With my luck, this will be the only one to make it!

  3. I usually have to click on Post 2-3 times before the German words for "Your post will be sent to the moderator" (or something like that since I don't speak German - lol) pops up.

I always worred that Patrice was getting my comments multiple times, but since I never received an email back telling me to leave her alone :) I figured I was ok.

  4. Have you noticed Lydia up in the middle of the night, at the computer... ;-)

  5. Do you see there? Man or WOMAN'S best friend working overtime. Naa, she is laying over there not doing much of nothing. Lydia has it going ON! Hours of pleasure and boredom and if need be, bite some a-s!

  6. Can't say for sure, but it seems it may have started around the time the folks who carry Patrice's blog made changes in their spam filtering system. Other blog hosts posted questions and complaints on the carriers' Q&A page concerning the same problem a month or two ago.

When it began happening I was unable to post in either comment or preview. I tried switching to Mozilla Firefox, which seemed to have solved the problem until this past week, when a couple of posts took a long time to post, and another two or three disappeared altogether.

Hopefully it will get resolved before we run out of search engine options.

  7. Dear Patrice,
I was sure you had blocked me, because I got no reply to a few emails I sent. Then one came back saying: "A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed: plewis@rezmail.com."
I then tried sending an email to you via WND and it came back with the same undeliverable message! Very strange. I will notify my ISP, but the fact that several people are having the same problem says it's most likely at your end or somewhere in between that's common to all of us. God bless!

  8. I have found on another blog, that if I post as anonymous, it always works, preview or no.

  9. Hello Patice,
I, too, have tried to leave comments but they didn't show up. I figured it was b/c I wasn't doing something right! I am trying again, as I just want you to know that I really appreciate everything you blog about. I have been following your blog for several months and have learned a lot. Take care and keep on what your are doing! Especially the preparedness posts!
