This Memorial Day weekend, let's not forget all the soldiers who are away from friends and family -- and let's never forget those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

This photo essay from Life Magazine got me sniffing.

  1. God bless, guide and protect our United States Armed Forces, wherever they may be, and my He always shine His Light on our nation's bravest and best, now and always.

In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen.

Have a safe and joyous weekend, everyone. Let the summerin' and funnin' begin!!

  2. As the wife of a seriously wounded combat veteran, I cannot thank you enough for posting about the true meaning of memorial day. The meaning is often lost in cookouts and camping trips. Many have died to allow those celebrations, but that fact is conveniently forgotten by many.

  3. Amen! We paid a visit to the National Memorial Cemetery today and our girls helped put flags on graves. All 10,000 plots were decorated in under 40 minutes thanks to the gazillions of volunteers.
