The girls were minding their own business, reading on the stairs...
When along came Lydia...
...wreaking destruction in her wake...
Or how about this? Older Daughter is sitting there, minding her own business, petting Lydia...
...who suddenly turns and pounces on Older Daughter with such force that the chair tipped over.
"Who...me?"
Here are our four half-grown chickens, caught in shafts of morning sunshine:
I think the one on the right may be a rooster. I hope so, since we're down to just one right now.
Yep, just minding your own business. That is just about the most dangerous thing that you can be doing. I can't tell you how may injured people that we see that were just 'minding my own business' when they got shot, stabbed, or hit. When we ask what happened the story always starts with 'I was minding my own business'. More gainful employment in the ER.

Been a very long time since I have seen young chickens, but my guess is that the one with the noticable comb and wattle is your rooster. Avaril
