Whistleblown!

Want to hear something funny? A reader just emailed me about my article in Whistleblower Magazine, WND's monthly periodical. I didn't even know I had an article in Whistleblower Magazine.

Turns out it was my Preparedness 101 column. Ta da!

  1. WOW - your famous.

Next thing we know, you will be moving to Washington, DC. (I only hope it is as President.)

Reminded me of the country comedian telling the story about the Governor with milk cows on the state shack lawn. There is already a vegetable
    garden at the White House.

    Congratulations

  2. Um, real nice of them to pick up your article, but did they ask you? Did they pay you? Did they even tell you? I think I'd blow the whistle on them if I was you.

  4. Nah, it's no big deal. They have every right to use the column since it's their column and magazine. I didn't get paid, but that's also no biggee since I don't get paid for my WND columns anyway. (It's a labor of love.)

  5. Congratulations on having the article published in hardcopy. It was a great article when it came out online and it's still a great article. Little wonder they used it in their magazine.

I am very surprised you don't get paid for your WND columns. Although praise goes to you for writing them without compensation, it does seem odd to me that a pro-capitalism website would not practice what it preaches. However, we often do things for reasons other than payment, so I completely understand why you continue to write for WND gratis.

  6. I knew going in that I wouldn't get paid. But I also knew that the blessings and exposure and name recognition that would follow would be more than generous compensation, which in fact turned out to be quite true. Otherwise I wouldn't have all of you, now would I? (smile)

  7. It's okay not to get paid, especially if you love what you do and don't forget it will come back on you 10 fold! :)

  8. Sometimes "getting paid" means more than receiving money for something, it all has a way of working out (in a good way) eventually......and sometimes in the weirdest ways, like a surge in other areas (tankards maybe?!)....ya just never know what it opens doors to....

  9. Another big "Congratulations," Patrice! I am so happy for you that your name is really getting "out there" these days. And, rightfully so!

  10. I always thought you got compensated somehow (free subscription, money or discounts on WND products) but as others have said, it is not always about the money. If I was in your situation I would be shouting from the rooftops to tell others. A article in WND is a good way to do it. People will read it and listen or they will hate you. Either way, you have spread the gospel, so to speak.
