Silent monks sing Halleluia

This has GOT to be one of the cleverest, funniest videos I've seen in ages. Let the entire YouTube clip buffer before watching to get the full effect.

[UPDATE: Hmmmmm. A reader pointed out that the video isn't playable in either Safari or Firefox. Can't help here - I'm a computer illiterate - but if you have trouble you might try just going to YouTube.com and input into the search feature, "Silent monks sing Halleluia" and see what happens. Keep me posted.]

  1. This video isn't playable in either Safari or Firefox. You can click on it, but all you get is the picture in a new window.

  5. Hilarious! And tight! These kids were really well rehearsed.

    4,410,390 views this thing's gotten!!

    YAAAAY!

I viewed it using Opera...my preferred browser...and it blazed right through with no hesitation. Opera's the fastest browser I've tried, and I've even heard it improves performance on dial-up. And it's free. Go to opera.com if you want to check it out.

  6. Oh my goodness, that was wonderful! A new twist to an old classic - very clever. I felt sorry for the kids who had to lie on their stomachs during the entire thing - must have been hard on their young tummies.

  8. Good eye, A.T. I'd initially thought they'd used foot props, but on closer view I think you're right.

I played it mid-morning for my husband and it took a bit longer to load than it did last night. This is understandable considering the hour and the fact it had gotten 1,325 additional views in the previous 8 hours.
    It's obviously very popular.

This number is such an outstanding example of doing more with less, isn't it?

    Delightful.
