  2. This is very interesting! I used to live down on the border of Mexico in Texas, and I remember how the parking lot at Wal-Mart was always so full of carts just everywhere. People would leave carts right beside the cart corral! I once watched a cart, pushed by the wind, roll half way across the parking lot and crash into a car. I was too far away to stop it even if I'd tried. The other grocery store in town usually had someone out on the lot every hour or so collecting carts, so it wasn't so bad, but Wal-Mart seemed to let the carts pile up out there until there were none left in the store before they'd send someone out there.

Now I live in Oregon. I rarely see carts out of place, unless it's somewhere like Home Depot where there are only two cart corrals, both very close to the store, and then usually several carts will be grouped together, not randomly scattered around. It's so much nicer this way!

  3. I knew it sounded like it was written by that one person who writes all the nationalistic B.S., and that unbelievable yarn about the dog from the shelter whose owner is off killing brown people in Iraq. The same person wrote that Neiman Marcus story and that that special ed kid plastic easter egg story, too.

  7. It's funny because who in the US can really call anyone else an illegal immigrant? Only the Native Americans, in my view.
