Awwww shucks -- cute pic!

I received an email this evening as follows:

Dear Patrice,

Thank you for all your effort and dedication to your blog and for allowing those of us planning a move to the Redoubt a daily opportunity to live vicariously through you! I look forward to your posts and thoroughly enjoy your insight. The pictures are grand as well!

We have received a copy of your book, The Simplicity Primer, and I thought you might enjoy knowing that the entire family is taken with it - including my 2.5 year old son. Here he is in the "library" "reading" The Simplicity Primer. (picture attached)

He sits in that rocking chair often and chooses a book that becomes a favorite for a period of time. Yours has been the "one" for some time now! I thought it would be fun to share this with you, so I snapped a photo and was quite surprised it turned out half way descent.

    You link to Lydia on your sidebar. I'm curious as to what you think about being in service to others. I love your blog and if you hold agreement with her that one should put a nap or leisure time above getting out and making a difference in the world I'd rather not know.

    I'm not trying to stir up trouble, really. I prefer you didn't post this comment actually and just maybe do a service post int he future?

    Oh, got it. I have a whole bunch of different blogs cross-linked in the sidebar, not all of which I read on a daily basis. Naturally I'm not responsible for the content in any of those blogs. If you have a question about something someone else posted, by all means email their blog and inquire! That's the most direct route.

    And my Lydia LOVES to take naps...

    What a darling child! Our dear granddaughter is about the same age and has the same book selection process at the moment - "grownup" books that are favorites and change every week or so :). Too cute. Jennifer in western NC
