Does anyone want to meet Enola Gay?

My friend Enola Gay who runs the Paratus Familia blog is planning on being at the Spokane Gun Show this weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (Nov. 4-6) located at the Spokane Interstate Fairgrounds and Expo Center.

While she'll have a few guns for sale, mostly she'll be selling copies of her book The Prepared Family Guide to Uncommon Diseases, as well as samplers of her homemade reusable feminine hygiene products.

In our house, we've used Enola's reusable hygiene products for about 2 1/2 years, and as a result, I'm her biggest fan.

Enola invited me to share her booth and sell The Simplicity Primer as well, but my weekend kept getting busier and busier (plus I'm still recovering from a bad cold) so it just didn't work out. However she kindly offered to sell copies of my book for me.

So I autographed a stack of books for her and delivered them to her house.

Into each book I slipped a couple of business cards.

So if anyone would like to meet Enola Gay and see her items, be sure to stop in at the gun show and tell her I said "hi."

  1. How I wish I lived close!!! I hope Enola's sales (of her guns, book, products, and your books) go well.

Hope you continue on your path back to good health.

  2. I would love to, but it would be a bit of a trip! :) I hope she has a wonderful day.

  3. I've met Enola Gay. She's the real deal. If it wasn't so far to drive to Spokane in November, I'd visit her booth at the gun show. I could use a few of her incontenance pads. (No, not for that...for wound care.)

No doubt both books will be hits at the gun show. Of course, if either one had included a chapter on gun cleaning (e.g. a tampon should work well in a .45), then their popularity would probably quadruple. ;)

  4. My herd of kidlets & I had the pleasure of hanging out with Enola & her herd the other day. It was truly so much fun. They're a great family & she's one super cool lady.

I hope your book sells well at the gun show!

  5. I hope I get to go!!

  6. someday i am gonna get the opportunity to visit iowa, idaho, washington, oregon ....for now though i will just keep looking and wishing when i see you and enola gays photos. i hope that you recover from your cold and i hope that business is really good for enola.

  8. Love your book! I am almost done with it. Thanks for the reminder about Enola Gay's book. I just ordered it, and plan to order her hygiene products next pay period. Thanks again!

  9. Thank you, Amy! I don't know how Enola's weekend went as I haven't spoken with her yet, but you simply cannot go wrong with her feminine hygiene products. (Or her book.)

  10. Well bummer I just found your blog and hers tonight. I live in NE. WA near the Id border. We live on 8 acres and I am a Homescholing, Homesteading, Mom to 7. 5 still at home. We have goats and pigs and are scrimpoing for a Milk cow. Hubby lost his job in August. We are working on how to make a living on our own. Wish I had seen this sooner. I know I am not too far from you all. We do some shopping in Newport and Priest River.
