The definition of insanity

We used to live in California. We don't anymore. A little too much insanity down there.

  1. Living in the insane state right now by necessity and I can fully vouch for the sentiment!

  2. Could you please pick on New York for awhile? Blumberg, Schumer, Paterson, Sharpton - they aren't any better than their California counterparts.

When California and Californians were pumping billions of dollars into the US treasury through taxes, were the other 49 states NOT benefitting from that gravy train? I think they were. Now that we've had years of socialists in the state legislature, our economy has been destroyed and ALL of this country will be bailing out California someday soon. Paybacks are a biotch, aren't they? I call it poetic justice...as well as proof that socialism doesn't work.

Hey, I don't like what's happening here, either, but there are millions of Californians who are good, decent, hardworking people - I saw lots of them at Tea Parties. Unfortunately, we are outnumbered by the lowlifes who moved here from elsewhere. (I think some of them came from Idaho.) I love my state, it's the people I can't stomach.

  4. I feel ya, A.P.

California's last best hope are those such as my loved ones and yourself, who remain, but who know and uphold the truth.

I grieve for what's happened and, sadly, what very well may happen to my beloved native state. I fought the good fight for as long as I could, but ultimately had to come away. Unfortunately it appears Washington is bent on following in California's footsteps, so I don't know what things might come to pass in this coming decade. It's still infinitely better here, though, and for this I'm deeply grateful each and every day.

Prayin' for California and for America,

    A.McSp

  5. Ah, now, Caifornia gave us Reagan at one time.
And New Jersey went to the dark side for many years before they elected Christie.

I think the definition of insanity described the entire country less than two years ago.

Let the pendulum swing all the way to the left...it brought us the Tea Party, it'll bring my home state back one day.
Indeed, I think it'll bring the entire West coast along for the ride. :)

    Praying for California as well.

  6. California will probably NEVER have a Christie! I see no such thing happening. You deserve what is about to come down on you. You are right about New York AP. But guess what. Two wrongs is still only two wrongs. They both stink !

  8. Anonymoous 5:17pm, to toss all Californians into the same pot is neither rational nor reasonable. I do understand your distain for my state, but when California sinks into the abyss, you and your state will follow soon after. How do I know this? Because California is so big it will have a huge impact on the whole country. That is exactly why Americans from all other states should pray for California and do what you can to change the political bent in CA. Encourage your friends, family, and co-workers who live in California to rethink their politics and to recognize that socialism is not the answer and that the nanny state is really facism. Also, stopping the unchecked influx of illegals into California (and America as a whole) would do much to alleviate some of our problems. It's not easy paying for a bilingual, bicultural state. It should never have been allowed to happen, but both major political parties not only allowed it to happen, they encouraged it. Now California is paying the price - soon a price that will be passed on to the whole country.

But, thanks just the same for the knife in the back, Anonymous 5:17. Unlike you, however, I won't be saying you and your state "deserve" what is about to befall you. Instead, I'll be praying for you.

  9. Amen Anonymous Patriot! We The People of California consists of over 40% of us who didn't vote for the liberal redundancy. Please keep that in mind when you try to lump us all in together. There are those of us trying to take back the state instead of high-tailing in to "safer" places. Give us some credit at least for that.

  10. Anon 5:17...look for the good, my friend! I promise you it's there. New York AND California are filled with solid conservatives...wonderful, warm, hard-working, God-fearing people. Yes! Just like the rest of America.

The electoral map is a big chunk of red in my home state. The main problem is not so much the minority rule of a liberal coast as it is that the CA GOP establishment has strangled real conservative candidates. They still have their heads in the sand, believing that only moderates can win there. Not true.

Get real conservatives with a spine into the race with as much support as possible and just watch what California can do.

I'm afraid things must get worse before they get better, but I don't think I'll be in my grave before they do get better.

And if I am...so what? California will still become, once again, the most wonderful place to live...but you, Anon 5:17, may still be bitter.

  11. I think some of you are trying to kill the messenger. I love California and I have lived there in a few different areas of the state but I moved some years back for a better job. California has changed and changed badly. If you remember California in the 50's you knew it when it really was the dream. It's not that we non-Californians want to see you go down the tube it is simply that we see it happening and are pointing it out. Most Californians (and the millions who have left over the last 25 years or so) know California is going to hell in a handbasket. But a few are in denial. Don't take it personal. Learn to accept the facts and maybe you will become part of the solution instead of remaining part of the problem. You elected Brown!!! I cannot think of a more appropriate epitaph for California then electing a grey haired aging hippy. His is the generation that destroyed California and he will ride it off into the Pacific ocean. It's done! Over! What you are experiencing now is the thrill of having jumped off the cliff and you are confusing the air going past you with having the wind in your hair. Make no mistake we are all going to suffer from the coming crash but some will suffer more then others.

  12. Sheesh, who do you think you're talking to?? Did you even read what we said? There were 40% of the California voters this past election who DID NOT vote for Brown or Boxer. WE ARE the Californians who are trying to reverse the course our state has been on for 15 years. WE KNOW our state better than you do, so please don't preach to us.

If this California bashing continues, you may have to find another group to bash. I, for one, will not stick around for this type of abuse.

  16. I apologize to those who love their state of CA. I know a lot of innocents are caught up in this nightmare. I am disappointed to the point of bitterness but I should not vent here. Sorry

  17. @ anonymous 1:06;

Yes, the other states were on the Federal gravy train...the difference is, the other states were a little more fiscally responsible with the Federal cash than CA. Your state government decided that those Federal bennies were always going to be there, and with the liberal mindset CA has, they figure all the Feds have to do is just print more money, and the state of CA can be bailed out time and time again. So CA went on a drunken orgy of spending, not realizing that the tracks were starting to show signs of damage, and that there was a train wreck up ahead.

  18. Hey Sage,I have had a lot of train experience and I KNOW how EASY it is to deraial a train.

  19. As a California native, I see no hope for this state especially when Californians voted in Davis, then Arnold and now we have Brown again Our public schools are in moral decay including schools in well to do cities. Our big cities like Los Angeles, Oakland, San Diego and San Francisco are on the verge of bankruptcy. We are in state of rebellion to God's word and will soon reap what we have sowed. May GOD have mercy on us and prepare those who are obedient to his WORD.
