Thank you!

Just a brief thank you to all of you, my wonderful readers.  Yesterday, when I posted about how to balance this blog - i.e. "fluff" vs. "serious stuff" - I honestly wasn't fishing for compliments.  I was just writing down almost verbatim the conversation Don and I had.

But compliment me you did, lavishly, and I can't tell you how much it means to me.  Thank you!!

  1. Patrice, this looks like it could have been shot on my place. I'm amazed. Same gate...same fence, same tree line and beautiful butterscotch morning sun. But I'd have sworn Lon just mowed that fence line! lol If you'll pan the camera left you'll see my barn. Amazing.

  2. I didn't have a chance to comment under the original post, so this is a great second chance.
What made me a daily reader of your blog was the diversity! I like the well rounded nature of your blog, and how I feel like you're sharing a window into your life, not a random bunch of internet rantings. Everything has so much more meaning because it's embeded in a real life. Everything is whole and lends to the next (we laugh, we cry, we work, we play, we PRAY) It's life.
Other than Enola's (which I found thru yours) I don't follow another daily blog, but I look forward to yours to see what the day will bring, plus it's like catching up with a friend! Certainly never boring and always interesting.
    Thanks again,

  3. Rightfully so! Patrice, I love each and every one of your photos. Keep up the GOOD work. ;-) Don't forget, the Apostles also enjoyed God's blessings and bounty while carrying the Gospel to everyone. God knows that we need this info, just at this time, and that's all there is to it.

Special note for Don: For some odd reason, I also felt the need to get serious and complete our GOOD bags as well as our basement arrangements. I was happy to see that I wasn't the only one. Of course, these backpacks aren't really done yet.... but I am much closer to having everything I think we need ready to go at a moments notice. Today, while out shopping in the driving rain, we were treated to the absolute best parking and shopping that we have ever found. It can only be God's grace, and it should be interesting the see what is just ahead of us.

    God Bless,
    Janet in MA.

  4. I keep a GOOD bag in the trunk of my car, and thanks to 'Redon' I'm gonna pull it out and repack and reload it.

I want to echo all the excellently expressed responses posted on the fluff/stuff/balance thread, and to add my own words of gratitude for those who posted them. I'm so impressed by the caliber of minds that gather here, and by the strength
of character that shines through in the posts...in almost every case.

I'm also one who keeps my internet involvements to a bare minimum. There are some sites I follow regularly, but only two on which I post: my Bible study forum and this one. So that lets you know you're special and trusted in my view.

And LOOK!! I see 600 followers on today's count! That steady growth is really great to see, and I sure am proud of you.

Your blog is current, relevant, useful and thought provoking. And it's done with respect, which is all too often lacking in today's world. I don't have to ever worry about coming here and finding vulgarity or
    profanity.

So thanks again for all your efforts and for making us a part of your world.
