Random pix

Some random shots over the past week or two.

Chipmunk.

My mixer died the other day in the middle of a batch of cookies.  No problem, we hauled out the manual egg beater I'd bought for Preparedness purposes, and put it to the test.  Worked great!

My daughter's elderly piano teacher lives on the edge of a field.  Here's the view from her back porch.

A little fall color...

Full moon rising.  (Click on this one to enlarge - it's a pretty cool shot.)

Near my friend's boarding school is a herd of bison.  (Well, why not?)  Very impressive animals close up!

  1. Hi Patrice,
I've never posted here before but I had to ask when I saw the pics of the bison above, what's going on with their fur? The first thought I had was mange, but I don't even know if bison can get that, and I'm not sure if you do either. Anyway, just thought I'd ask if you (or anyone else, for that matter) knew.

  2. Nope, that's the standard fur pattern for bison. Go figure.

  3. Thanks for the picture of the chipmunk. I would see them when we lived in the North East, but they don't seem to live here in Colorado (our part anyway). Cute little critters.
