And you thought YOUR job was tough...

Here's a fascinating short YouTube video a reader sent, under the category of "And you thought YOUR job was tough..."

Here's a fellow changing a light bulb on the top of a 1500-foot TV tower.

I have a pretty decent head for heights, but I think even this would defeat me. My hat is off to the unsung heroes who do this kind of stuff every day.

  1. Tower climbing is one of the most dangerous jobs out there.

  2. Flying in a light plane does not bother me that much, BUT that sure did! The thought of doing that just doesn't compute. How could you ever get yourself to unhook one of the safety straps as you climbed. Yes the other one was still hooked but one was not!

  3. The picture was taken by a "drone" Probably a quadcopter.

  4. When I was a kid one of my best friends was this kind of person. He now has metal rods fused into various bones bones, missing a thumb and one finger and numerous other injuries. I often joke that I'm not afraid of hieght but my grip gets better the higher I go. I think the fear of hieght is common sense at the most basic level.
