SurvivalBlog down

Many readers have asked if I know what's going on with SurvivalBlog, which has not been accessible for the last few days.

I just learned that SurvivalBlog has suffered from another ping flood attack on the blog's main server. SurvivalBlog can be viewed from this temporary site: http://64.92.111.122

At this temporary location, all graphics have been removed for the time being in order to minimize the bandwidth needed. This makes ping attacks less successful.

SurvivalBlog hopes to have their backup server up soon.

  1. GRRRRRRRR!

When tshtf the perps will quickly awaken to the fact that pings are neither edible nor are they useful in protecting one's family from predators.

    1. Basically, a website server gets overloaded from too many requests, like a traffic jam. But these requests are done as a coordinated attack by ne'er-do-wells against a specific target.

  5. Thanks Patrice,
I was wondering, as I tried to go to Survival Blog yesterday and today with no luck. I even went to the emergency server site Mr. Rawles gave out as an alternate and that did not work so I figured he had been hacked again.
It took two tries to get on at the address you gave above, but I finally am logged on. Again, thanks.

  6. Thanks so much for the update. I was wondering what was going on. Sent James an email telling him I was going into withdrawal for not being able to access his site. lol Would feel the same about not being able to access yours. Appreciate so much the both of you and all that I learn. Your blogs are an important part of my day.

  7. Isn't the 30 day notice he gave the ACLU about up. It smells a bit like the obnoxious tactics of the left
