Another geek-day celebration

Coming as I do from a family of geeks, I'm surprised I never heard of this until I heard of it from a friend. But apparently today is International Star Wars Day because -- are you ready? -- it's May 4th. As in, "May the fourth be with you."

So Happy Star Wars Day! May the Fourth be with you!

UPDATE: Oops. Today is May the Third. That's what happens when you work at home -- you totally lose track of the calendar.

  1. Err, uhmm...

Sorry Kiddo, today is the 3rd of May; the "Fourth" will be with you tomorrow.

  2. Tomorrow is May 4th in Michigan. Maybe that's why no one wished me happy Star Wars Day (yet) LOL

  3. My children are so envious of me because I got to see Star Wars in the theater when it first came out!!! It was so totally different than any other movie. Thanks for the early post. Now I can plan something fun for tomorrow.

  4. Thank you.

May the fourth be wif you, two.

  5. My girlfriend at the time had to almost twist my arm to get me to see Star Wars when it first came out.
I though the title was silly and so the movie couldn't possibly be any good.
    Same thing with Indiana Jones.

Just two of the many times that a woman knew best !

I drew the line at Rocky Horror Picture Show.
And of course, it played for like 15 years straight at the Tower Theater in Houston, TX. But I still haven't seen it and I never will - sometimes you've just got too much stubbornness invested to back down. :)

  6. At our house, May 4th is known as my birthday.

  7. Happy May "force" day.

Here is a little trivia I stumbled upon today. Whadda movie series, never to be topped imho.
