Is anyone near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho?

We are vending our tankards at an event this weekend held in Coeur d'Alene, specifically the Coeur d'Alene Hotel Resort downtown right on the lake.

The event is sponsored by the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism -- a Medieval living history organization). This is their Twelfth Night celebration, when the new King and Queen of the Kingdom of An Tir will be crowned.

The event runs Friday through Sunday. Don is working the booth (well, cart) on Friday and Sunday, and the girls and I will be manning the cart on Saturday.

We've spent the last week making stock to sell at this event.

I'm not certain precisely where in the hotel we'll be located. We registered for the event late (after the Merchant Room was already full), so I do know we're being placed in the hall. Which hall, I couldn't tell you.

This is roughly what the cart looks like, though this photo doesn't show all the accouterments (shelving units, etc.). Don custom-made it to fit into our car.

We're going to have about 120 tankards for sale, including some very handsome pieces. Sorry, these won't be available retail because once this show is over, everything gets shipped to a customer who will be vending at the Arizona Renaissance Festival. In fact, happily, we have a TON of wholesale orders awaiting us.

Please understand that my first priority at this event is as a vendor, so I'll need to direct my attention to customers. However if anyone would like to stop and chat, I'd be happy to meet you!

  6. I would love to come visit your cart in CDA, but this winter I'm recovering from a broken leg and I am housebound (and going crazy...okay, crazier lol. I'll get to meet you one of these days Patrice ;^)

  7. Sounds like fun. Too bad it is too expensive to get in. It would be $55 for the 3 of us (hubby is at work). Cannot afford that. If we could, there would be nothing left to buy any of Don's beautiful tankards. Good luck on sales and have fun.
