Judicious marksmanship

I lifted this notice off a friend's blog.

Hmmmm... I think I'll have a sign made which we can post on our front door...

  2. The Blaze interviewed the maker of the sign. I can't post the link, but it is easily found by searching the Blaze site or Google.

I encourage anyone wishing for one to purchase from the maker - thus giving credit where credit is due, after all

    2. Well, I'm Christian, and it fits me.

Actually pretty close to a sign we have AT THE BUILDING OUR CHURCH MEETS AT.

      We ask those who are armed to (if they wish) please ID themselves to the Deacons or Elders so;
1 We know who they are if something might happen. and
2 We can ask if they would agree to be seated in appropriate places where more area can be covered.

      How's that work for you?

    3. hmmm...and then they asked..."What would Jesus do?"
Is this a huge contradiction of sorts?!?

Sounds like people morphing what they want to think into exactly what they want to hear. Not much has changed in the last 2000 years.

    4. Jesus didn't have a problem with fighting evil. Turn the other cheek was for dealing with "words", you know like the saying my mother taught me, "sticks and stone will break my bones, but words can never harm me". Another problem is with Bibles translated with an agenda in mind, not true to the original text. Remember, Jesus on a rampage in the temple, turning over the tables of the money changers. Don't think for the minute the Shepherd was a pacifist.

    5. I can really see Jesus out there with an AK-47 killing the money changers.

We really have to use some common sense here.

Yes..he was not tolorant of evil.....but by the same token.... he never tought murder either.....THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT!!

This had to be the hardest part of his teachings to grasp and still is for some.

The message was to fight evil with love and absolutely under no circustances... fight back with KILLING. BJ

  8. I normally give trolls the attention they deserve, which is none at all, but we'll call this a special case deserving of a response. It would be easier if we knew if gutsy "Anonymous" was one troll or a whole den, but no matter.

The Bible makes quite clear the distinction between murder and justified killing or self-defense. The former is absolutely against God's laws, the later is not. On the contrary, instruction to heed the both the need and the RESPONSIBILTY for defense of life, your own and that of others is also quite clear.

You are obviously one of the sheep. There's nothing wrong with that. (I suppose some do not have the personal fortitude; just as one in every village must be told to come inside when it rains.) But do NOT stand in the way of the sheepdogs who protect the flock when the wolves come. (Many sheep believe wolves don't exist or that life has no value worth protecting; the sheepdogs live in the real world and cannot protect you from your own delusions.) Denigrate them as they stand guard and they may well forget to count your worthless fleece-covered behind when making sure all the sheep are safe.

  9. I couldn't disagree more with "BJ".....
So as a woman is being sexually assaulted.... she shouldn't fight back, but instead "love her assailant"' and under no circumstances seek to (harm) him.....
Naw.... that raping animal needs to die of acute lead poisoning! Juz sayin'

    2. You, being a 'male' (not Man BJ, as you don't qualify. A man has matured. You're still a juvenile, not matter you age)have no conceptualization of rape.

As a evident pacifist, YOU would rather see a woman strangled with her own hosiery after she was raped, rather than seeing her standing over her assailant's dead body with a smoking gun.

The point being, BJ, do YOU have any living female relations? If so, will you inform them that they're on their own if they ever find themselves in a life or death emergency?
