Contracted the stomach flu and have been miserably ill for quite a few hours. I blame it squarely on Older Daughter since she got it first. But nuts, this means I can't go in with Younger Daughter this morning to watch her get her braces installed.
Oh well, such is life.
Be back later.
Eeeeewwww! Tough break! I wish I could help.... Please understand when I say this... please keep this 'bug' over on your side of the country. I know that sounds lame but when I experience this type of illness I need to be hospitalized with IV's. It is all over the UK. Not fun. I pray that God will grant you a short illness in His Mercy.

Bummer - take care, Patrice. Make sure you try to keep hydrated with plenty of water and chicken soup.
ReplyDeleteAnd REST! We'll still be here...get better soon!
Prayers for your stomach to settle down and be comfortable again in all aspects so that you can sip some soup and water. I absolutely CRINGE when this type of thing is going around.
ReplyDeletehope you get better real quick...many of my friends in the midwest have been having a time with the flu and stomach virus..they tell me it is a real humdinger.
ReplyDeletePatrice,
ReplyDeleteOh no, I'm sorry to hear you contracted the flu. I truly hope you feel better soon. Let hubby and the girls take care of you. Get plenty of rest my friend.
Get well soon!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, chicken soup, chicken broth and vitamin C.
If you're having trouble keeping things down, saltine crackers help, as does ginger ale or 7-Up.
UGH, BRAT, bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. And of course H2O!, and rest. Bless your heart! Had it a couple of weeks ago, now husband has URI! Stay away!

Sorry to hear. Making the rounds in our neck of the woods as well. Rest up and hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteDo get well soon, Patrice! :) Don't do too much too soon -- you don't want to relapse!
ReplyDeleteWe will eagerly await your recovery. Be well.
ReplyDeleteNot good. Hope the worst will be over fast and that you'll be feeling better even faster!

Hope you feel better soon. Sam had his braces put on not too long ago. It was over fast. Not much to see. But they sure do look cute afterwards.
ReplyDeleteSincere best wishes for a speedy recovery, Patrice.
ReplyDeleteAnd best wishes to your daughter on her journey with braces. After putting the older kids in them and only having the pain of paying for them, and after fending off the recommendations of one dentist after another that I get them, I finally did at age 50, just before getting the youngest child his braces. We now laugh together when we arrive home and dad is grilling steak or making hard-shelled tacos, as we hurriedly make "soft" side dishes to go with our meal of torture!
The pain is so worth it, and anything that is home-canned is great to eat on the days that follow an adjustment.
Again, get well soon.
