Better today, thank you!

Thank you for all your kind well-wishes and prayers! I'm feeling much better today, though I'm achy and weak as water. My dear husband did all my barn chores for me this morning (and last night). The girls totally took over the house as well. Yesterday I spent 18 hours doing nothing but lying on the couch (except for dashes to the bathroom) and ate nothing but a handful of saltine crackers and took sips of soda (normally I hate soda).

Today I had a cup of tea and will probably limit myself to saltines and applesauce, but the nausea is gone and I feel much better. Here's hoping no one else gets the flu!

  1. Hope you continue to feel better Patrice!

  2. That is great to hear. Hope you continue to get well! ♥

  3. glad that you are feeling better...from what i have heard from friends in the midwestern states, this years flu is a bad bad one to suffer with. hope that you have a speedy recovery and if you have not done so, get your flu shots!

  4. (chuckle) ah... the BRAT diet. Learned it from my mother (I'm the oldest of six). See:

Another truism that I learned from my mother: if treated with medications, the common cold will last for 7 days. If left untreated the common cold will last a week.

  5. Glad to hear you are feeling better.

I wanted to tell you how much I enjoy your photos that rotate on the main page.

A trick I learned awhile back, I carry Lysol wipes with us where every we go, when we return to the car my husband and I clean our hands. He has a low immune system due to high doses of radiation many years ago. It has helped reduce our infection rate from bacteria. Especially from grocery stores, or retail stores that do not have sanitary wipes.

  6. It's wonderful that you are feeling better! :)
