I can't help picturing the next few moments after your photo - you fighting the dogs back from cleaning the whole lot up for you :-) (We have two labs - we KNOW how they think!!)
If the movers somehow unpack a huge box of FAB (in 1975) and leave it on a wet porch the bottom will fall out on the brand new carpet, and the guy will keep walking through the house in order to cover more carpet. Yet, he passed by the laundry room as he stepped into the house. ???
Yeah, I've sooooo done that!

If that's a wool rug, check out Granny Miller's remedy for cleaning in the snow :)
ReplyDeleteYet another reason why we keep our dog food and chicken food in galvanized trash cans. Also, keeps water and mice out of the food.
ReplyDeleteAnd if you happen to forget the kitty litter out in the rain-you can count on it turning to cement. Unfortunately I have had both experiences.
ReplyDeleteOh my. I can feel your feeling of dread as it started to come apart.
ReplyDeleteat least it is easy to sweep up when spilled. my oops was a gallon of syrup while standing over a floor vent.
ReplyDeleteWince. This got a collective groan of sympathy when I read it out loud to the family.

ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how many things can flash through your mind as something like this happens, right? Ugh.

ReplyDeleteAnd the dogs were thinking "Oh Happy Day"!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis happens to bags of chicken feed as well. Had my chicks free ranging for a few days as to not totally waste what could not be picked up.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I just happened to your blog, by way of a canning page. So glad I dropped in. Have a fabulous week!
Better dog food than a cat litter box...
ReplyDelete*hugs* ;o)
