But not many share this indifference. Consider this recent headline: "Versace sample sale in New York City shut down by cops after fights break out among more than 1,000 shoppers: 'They're going crazy.'"
LOL: Straight out of "Confessions of a Shopaholic."
The book is much better, funnier than the movie!
ReplyDeleteIt always makes me laugh to see someone brag about how much money she made selling things on Poshmark—as if she hadn’t paid a lot more than thatfor something she either hardly wore or never wore at all.
ReplyDeleteMe too! Particularly the commercial where the young lady brags about “the perfect side gig”.
DeleteOnline shopping for everything including groceries has been such a blessing. I don't have to go into a store and deal with all of the idiots! We raise @85-90% of our food anyway so I only have to pick what I can't raise. Like you, clothing is not important - I live in jeans/t-shirts with a couple of decent outfits for church. Shopping online helps stop the impulse buying as you have time to reevaluate before actually buying.
ReplyDeletePay in cash. It is much more "real" to take money from your wallet and see what you have left to buy gas and food. Don't food shop when you are hungry. Have a list. Did I mention to only use cash?
