Boy, that's a toughie for some. I'd say any skill she can learn, container gardening (keeping it small) start picking up extras "on sale" etc. That's how I stared and hubby jumped on board slow but sure. The main thing is not bighting off more than you can chew at one time where you're overwhelmed...but there is soooooo much to do to be ready.
