A new book by Patriots author Jim Rawles!

James Rawles, incomparable editor of SurvivalBlog, has a new book being released on Tuesday, September 25. Called Founders: A Novel of the Coming Collapse, he asks his readers to postpone ordering the book until Tuesday's "book bomb" day to help push it up in Amazon's sales ranks.

Here's the book blurb: Founders is the third novel in the Patriots series. It is set in several locales including the vicinity of Fort Knox Kentucky, Chicago, Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana, and Israel. A few of the characters are cross-overs from my previous novels. These include Ken and Terry Layton, and Andy Laine. Since my novels are contemporaneous, there is no need to have read the previous novels to enjoy reading Founders.

If this is anything like his previous novels, prepare for some edge-of-your-seat reading.

You can order the book through Amazon at this link.

Don't forget his other two novels:

Happy reading!

  1. Patriots was terrific and holds a place of honor on the shelf with "those" books. But I must admit haven't read Survivor. Folks I know personally, as well as many reviews, were very disappointed, saying it was a thinly sliced derivative of Patriots, with little to recommend it. I truly hope Mr. Rawles regains his stature with a good showing in Founders.

  2. I find his books unreadable - jus not worth the effort.

    1. I think a lot of it has to do with expectation. If you are looking for prose, plot and characters on par with a James Michener novel, you will be SORELY disappointed. However, Patriots has been rightly described as a "How-To Manual" disguised as a novel. Okay, pretty thinly disguised I'll admit. But it does contain a tremendous amount of practical stuff to get you thinking about preps and possible scenarios. And to give it some credit, set as a story it's a LOT easier to read than a simple manual. For that we've always got Mr. Rawles' original How To Survive TEOTWAWKI.
