New release: The Amish Animal Doctor

I'm pleased to announce that my latest Amish inspirational novel, entitled "The Amish Animal Doctor," is now available!

Remember my beloved dog Lydia? She comes back to life within the pages of this book as the main canine character.

Here's the back-cover blurb: "Will she give up what she loves – for who she loves? Forced to return home to care for her ailing mother, veterinarian Abigail Mast must make an impossible choice – between her career and her Amish community. And handsome neighbor Benjamin Troyer isn’t making the decision any easier for her. When an opportunity to stay in Montana presents itself, can Abigail come to a decision that will yield the greatest rewards?"

The book was featured under the "New Releases" on Harlequin's homepage, which was kinda neat:

Meanwhile, one of my older books ("Amish Baby Lessons") got paired up for a dual-release with another author named Patricia Davids. This was rather exciting because Patricia Davids has something of a legendary status among HQ's Amish authors.

And finally, because I'm so often remiss in providing links to my other Harlequin books, see below.

The Amish Newcomer

Television journalist Leah Porte never imagined her career would end with her witnessing a murder. Now she’s temporarily living among the Amish in witness protection. Instead of feeling alone and adrift, Leah is warmly welcomed by the close-knit community—and Amish bachelor Isaac Sommer. But caught between two very different worlds, choosing love would mean leaving her Englisch life behind forever…

Amish Baby Lessons

Tall, plain and awkward, Amish nanny Jane Troyer has always been “useful.” Now she’s the temporary nanny for overwhelmed Amish bachelor Levy Struder and his baby niece. But Jane’s finding it hard to resist falling for the sweet boppli and the handsome, hardworking Levy. Can this spirited Plain Jane win a bachelor’s heart…and make their temporary arrangement permanent?

Her Path to Redemption

Can she find forgiveness…and a second chance?

Returning to the Amish community she left during her rumspringa, widowed mother Eliza Struder’s determined to repair her reputation. But one woman stands between her and acceptance into the church—the mother of the man she left behind. Which means Eliza must stay away from Josiah Lapp. But they’re still drawn to each other. Is it too late for the future that once filled both their dreams?

My fifth book, with a working title of "The Runaway," is already with the editor. A "working title" is just the temporary name I provide, but I know from experience the final title will bear no resemblance to the working title.

Just last night I sent my agent a proposal for another book with the working title "The Forgiveness Quilt." I'm also preparing to NaNoWriMo myself through the next project, temporarily called "Thomas' Story."

So there you go. That's my Amish inspirational repertoire so far.

  2. It's time to wander out of my hidey-hole and go to Books A Million to see what they have of yours. I have a love/hate relationship with that place because being a bookworm means a day will fall off the calendar once I set foot in there. Plus I'll spend too much. Plus, if I manage to curb some spending, it may be irritating. I love books. Many kinds of books. Many subjects. There should be a "School of Lifelong Learning" discount for book lovers.
And just think. No alterations in your brain waves or vision, or messed up family relationships from reading some device!
I promise not to judge you though if your works wind up on Kindle, or in audio form.
Thank you for sharing your gift of writing with the world.

  3. I sure do remember Lydia and the tears I shed along with you at that time. Your book can't come soon enough - I've had it preordered for quite a while now. 😀
