Geek Day!

Coming as I do from a family of geeks, I'm always amused by geeky celebrations. Today is International Star Wars Day because -- are you ready? -- it's May 4th. As in, "May the fourth be with you."

Here's a little history behind the quasi-holiday.

So Happy Star Wars Day! May the Fourth be with you!

  1. As we woke up this morning I told my husband May the 4th be with you. I had to explain.

  2. I remember going to a theater in Dallas to see the first one. I will always remember the opening shot where the millennial falcon goes buy and then the big ship goes buy and goes buy and goes buy. I seem to remember that that was the only time that the credits were not in the opening.

  3. We were reminded of this when the traffic sign over the freeway read, "Text and drive, you will not."
