My husband retired last year after 35 years in law enforcement. He chose to never promote from working the street. The things he told me about would break anyone’s heart and I know there is a million more things he didn’t share. I have the utmost respect for him. He didn’t call in sick, he didn’t whine or complain. He just did his job. His job did greatly effect our family but now that our kids are grown they realize why and love and respect their dad. For this officer to get to have someone come back and say thanks is huge and brought tears to my eyes.
Yep...definitely need the Kleenex! How awesome!
ReplyDeleteHmm. The humidity in the room suddenly seems to have increased...
