Irish parrot?
Older Daughter knows how crazy I am about Irish dancing (I have "Riverdance" practically memorized). So when she sent me this YouTube clip of a parrot dancing to Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance," I howled.
She's doing fine, although she starts squawking in excitement whenever we open or close the door to Younger Daughter's bedroom (she recognizes the sound). We've been trying to give her lots of attention. We've also been trying to teach her to whistle "Anchor's Away," to no effect.
Of course you know, this led to an hour of surfing youtube watching other birds singing and goats dancing and finally to.... you guessed it, CAT VIDEOS! Aaaarrrgh!
My husband said that a parrot will lean new sounds easier with the owner, that is of course YD who is not around to teach her. But just keep on, maybe she'll get it. How old is this parrot?
Love this! How is the feathered member of the family doing since her (his) mistress is away?

show parrot this video and see if she picks up on it.
ReplyDeletesince she is winged, maybe she'll whistle the air force song instead?
I'm sorry... The Air Force has a song?
DeleteMerry Christmas

Now, now. Sometimes the Marines need to get to a fight faster than a boat can carry us. That's what the air force is for.
