The sketch is tasteful, your authored material stylish...

For the last several months, my blog comments have been besieged with a particular type of spam. I always read every comment before posting it anyway, and these are easy to spot because they're generic praise ("My brother told me about this post and thought I would love it!") (though it's more often in broken English), always followed by an invitation to click on their "website," which inevitably leads toward some lame-brain spam site.

Blogger filters these spam posts quite nicely and I seldom have to manually delete them from the blog itself, but they always show up in my email inbox first. I generally get around ten or fifteen spam posts a day.

So when this one came through my email inbox this morning, I nearly deleted it as I usually do; but for some reason the sheer ridiculousness of this one caught my eye. To wit:

"I loved as much as you will receive carried out right here. The sketch is tasteful, your authored material stylish. nonetheless, you command get bought an nervousness over that you wish be delivering the following. unwell unquestionably come further formerly again since exactly the same nearly a lot often inside case you shield this increase. my webpage: work from home."

Yeah right. Random words strung together really make me want to click on your site. Buh bye!

  1. Are you sure this isn't from an old Danny Kaye routine?

I think it's on one of those 'best of' videos I bought at wallyworld.

  2. Wow, that's deep. Like poetry only not.

  3. Google translate anyone? Should write his thoughts in his own language and translate. That was hard to read. Funny that they think it would work.

  4. I get several a day myself, resulting in hitting the delete key constantly.

  5. HA HA HA! For real? I couldn't believe what I was reading. My brain told me something was wrong and I had to go back and reread it.

  6. I get these flattering comments on my blog too. That one's a beaut!
