I looked out the window a few days ago and saw three deer bedded down in our lower field.
Here in our little valley, no one hunts (in their own backyard), so the local deer are very relaxed, even at this time of year.
When I stepped out onto the deck, the deer lazily got to their feet, stretched, and looked at me.
Then they all casually moved off into the woods.
I like their attitude.
We get the mulies just sort of wandering at their own pace through our back yard (near Hells Canyon ID side). If we open the door only 30 ft away, they stop and look at us like "What do you want?". Perhaps they know the cats aren't likely to be this close.
ReplyDeleteI am glad they feel safe in your backyard.
ReplyDeleteThis house reminded me of the Brady Bunch. I think it is more the staircase than everything else.
