My children are adults. I love them but wish they would grow up and do more with their lives. I miss the time with them as toddlers and tweens and teens, yes even the teens. THAT memory is what I cherish on fathers day. The only time any of my kids call is when they need money. They don't work except every now and then. They don't have families but they do have children. I miss them as kids but as adults they don't call, don't care and don't even know what I'm doing. Yes someone will say that "you raised" them and indeed I did. Loved them, did homework with them, taught them right from wrong... But the school had them 7 hours a day and the internet and other outside interests filled their hours too. I still hope for them, get a job, take care of your responsibilities, do the right things. But I doubt I will live to see them do that.
