Moonset

I got up early the other day, and glanced out the west window and saw ... a stunning full moon, just setting.

I set the camera on a solid surface and propped it upward a bit with a piece of thin wood so I could capture the lunar beauty without blurring.

Down, down, down...

I'm glad I got to see it sink below the horizon.

Just one of those beautiful moments.

  1. Did ya happen to catch the "Pink Moon" a couple of days ago? Quite the site indeed.

Ya know, why is it people don't learn (or may have forgotten) to just slow down the hassle and ciaos of everyday life and enjoy the absolutely beautiful world we live in?
Yes we all need to do what is necessary, but not to the point of losing the reason for living.
This really is a Beautiful Universe we live in, don't let it slip away from you..
I wish people would just stop with the (ok I'll be polite) and just really "Stop and Smell the Roses" along the path of life. Tis amazing how fast life can slip away when y'ar not paying attention. AKA, "where did the years go?".

Thank you for the photos of the setting moon.

  3. The name Pink moon came about because of all the pink phlox blooming this time of year.

Understood, but in my old eyes it does have a slight Pinkish haze to it.
It seems I really do enjoy the Full Moons whenever they accrue.
