You'll be pleased to know it is NOT SNOWING right now.
After all, that's what the weather report says. I believe it, don't you? This is RAIN.
Everything you see in this photos is just an illusion. I used PhotoShop.
Good thing, too. I'd hate for it to be, y'know, winter. So repeat after me: It is NOT SNOWING.....
So, what are you really trying to say Patrice? :)
ReplyDeleteI wish you had never said a word about a 2 day power outage. It actually rained, uh...way too hard. The power has already been out a day and the recording at the power company is saying another day.
ReplyDeletePreparation is a good thing. Having full power is sublime.
I think I'll load up the laundry and take it 30 min away to a laundromat. And run errands and get take-out. One of the "joys" of rural living is being last to get power restored.
Hope your rain doesn't get much deeper. It would be hard to slog to the barn if it were snow.
After storms have smashed so many power poles from Saturday storms, and power has been out since, it has finally dawned on me to break out the solar panel on this fine sunny but chilly day, and see what my bluetti " thinks" about it. It's going to take at least another day to restore power. In the mesntime, I sort of squandered the power watching the weather on tv during the storm and fell asleep. So it got used up and now needs charging for fridge and freezer. Better to have this learning curve now.
ReplyDeleteI have used the car charger previously that came in the box, but it only charges about 5% per hour.
They now have a newer car charger out that charges 5x as fast and is on sale. Experience from their sales on new stuff is leading me to go ahead and get the new charger. The car will run when sun isn't out or if I don't want to go outside.
The new charger will probably cost twice as much when it goes off sale. 25% per hour is significant.
Glad our oh so real rain ended! ( Though snow is soon expected!)
Keep praying for the SE. It's not so bad at my house, but the same places keep getting hammered.
I'm in SW Idaho. I hate the in between times when the snow starts to melt then it rains. My property is one big mush pit. It is covered in road base but it still pumps and squishes when walking out to feed animals. And the dogs aren't fond of the muck, either. We'd rather have frozen ground with snow on top for traction and clean boots.
