Phew, what a journey! For the past two weeks, this blog has been having technical difficulties and many readers couldn't get on due to a "security risk."
After much assistance from a computer expert named Gregory, at first the issue was thought to be through my hosting platform, necessitating a number of lengthy phone consultations. (Hat tip to a woman named Lindsay, who was wonderfully helpful.)
The hosting platform, as it turns out, wasn't able to assist. The matter needed to be addressed through the dreaded Goliath of Google, which of course is famously helpful and accessible (/sarc/).
The bottom line was the issue was the need for an SSL certification. Fortunately there is a convenient option in Blogger to change things from http to https. Unfortunately it didn't work.
Gregory went back and forth and back and forth and dove deeeeep down some technical rabbit holes involving encryption sites that even he admitted were not user-friendly. However, finally, he was able to pull things together and make things work.
Now the blog, once again, should be visible to everyone. Thank you to Gregory for his assistance, and to all of you for your patience!
