Several readers have brought something to my attention, namely that this blog is giving "Secure connections failed" and error messages stating it's an issue on my end.
The trouble is, neither Don nor I can "see" what's happening. We tried implementing the HTTPS availability under "Settings" and get this screen:
In short, we have no clue what's wrong or what happened. We have not changed a single thing on our end, so we don't know what to change or fix. At this point we're about ready to contact a local computer specialist and see what he can do to restore full access to the blog.
Meanwhile, if you can see this blog post, please take a screenshot of whatever issues you're encountering at your end. Don set up a temporary email address, so please send me any technical difficulties you're experiencing. This email address is: troubleshootRR@proton.me
Thank you!

Hi, no problems at all for me. When I have had this happen on other sites in the past it was not the websites fault usually but something with my browser, it usually was after an update of some kind. Ask those who have a problem to try another browser and see if that takes care of the problem. But it is not affecting my ability to get to the website at all. I use Brave and have a Linux OS. Thanks for all you and Don do and for being there! God Bless!
ReplyDeleteI have gotten that off and on. I sometimes get a msg saying secure not enabled sometimes not. Yours is not the only one I am having problems with. I am on google.
ReplyDeleteNo problems ever here MacOS 27.0 Chrome
ReplyDeleteNo issues here. Using Windows 11
ReplyDeleteI have been noticing some strange happening with Blogger.com for at least the last month but did not know who report it to or ask about it. I’m not a poster, just a reader. The blogs that I follow are not being posted at their normal times. Some show up much later in the day or not until the next day. These are bloggers who regularly post on a daily basis, sometime twice a day. The latest issue is that the heading that pops up to send me to the blog page is not visible unless I scroll the page up. Little things that just keep showing up but are aggravating. I don’t think it has anything to do with each individual blogger. Something is haywire with the site in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteI've never had any error messages. One time the comment button wouldn't open up for me so I posted my msg on a previous posting of yours from the day before and that worked.
ReplyDeleteI also use Brave Browser. Will NEVER go back to Google or Duck Duck. Blocked ads are wonderful!!!! I can search music on YouTube music through Brave and listen to whole albums commercial free. When the album ends music continues from other artists in the same genre. Reading websites without popup ads is incredible because the ads on the page don't interrupt my reading or jump the text around. Check it out!
I hope the bugs get worked out soon!!! Wherever they come from, go away!!!
FYI... no problems viewing you from Australia, on a desk top using windows 10.
ReplyDeleteI’ve been fine viewing all your content. However, I HAVE been having increased issues accessing some other sites because I use a VPN. Once I disable it, I can gain access.

ReplyDeleteNo problem viewing on an iPad using Firefox.
ReplyDeleteI'm using a chrome book currently, but also use Windows 11 on a different laptop, both work fine. However if I try to look at your site on one running Windows 10 or older it sometimes has issues, so I assume it is on the users end because they are running an older Windows program. It's a common thing to happen on many websites, because all of them are updated to run on the newest systems and if people haven't upgraded to the newest systems they won't work properly.
