We're pleased to announce that we have some retail mugs available for sale!
First, a little about our tankards. They’re handmade, not stamped out cookie-cutter-style in an overseas factory. This means there are individual variations among pieces, but we like to think this adds to their rustic charm. Each and every tankard is different. They are lined with a food-grade epoxy resin which is FDA-approved for food contact up to 400F, so the tankards will hold hot as well as cold beverages. They make great coffee cups as well as beer steins!
We recommend hand-washing, and we urge you NEVER to put your tankard in a dishwasher or microwave. We’ve been in business for nineteen years, and recently an eighteen-year-old tankard came back for minor repairs. Eighteen years, and the customer was still using it almost daily! With care, these things will last for years and years.
We offer a three-year guarantee against leakage due to
our workmanship – not your um... lack of common sense shall we say. Meaning, if you drive off with a tankard on the roof of your car and then claim it “just started leaking,” we won’t believe you. However, we understand accidents do happen and we can fix most damaged tankards for a small fee.
We use about twenty different types of domestic and non-endangered exotic hardwoods. Each tankard comes with a guarantee card that lists our contact info, the woods in each particular tankard, and the care and feeding instructions.
We’ve listed the currently available inventory in the photos below. The pictures have a code and a number. If you click on each picture, it will enlarge to show the details of each piece.
Here’s how ordering will work. If you see a tankard you like, send an email to
ruralrevolution@hotmail.com and include the number of the tankard. Whoever sends the first email about a particular tankard gets it. If three people want the same tankard, the first email we receive is the “winner.” We will remove the photo of that particular tankard as quickly as we can. We’ll also follow up with anyone else who wanted the same piece, letting them know it’s no longer available.
We’ll follow up with an email with our phone number. If we don’t receive a call from you within 24 hours, the tankard will go back on the website or will go to the next person who expressed an interest. We can only accept credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, and Discover) at this time. We’ll have PayPal when we get a more permanent retail page up and running.
If you would like to order more than one tankard, we can offer a $5 discount off each additional tankard.
Shipping is via USPS and we’ll charge a flat rate of $10 for all domestic continental shipments (higher to Alaska and Hawaii, sorry; but we’ll only charge what the post office charges us). Each additional tankard will cost an additional $2 if shipped to the same address. If you’re in Canada or another country, let us know and we’ll see what we can do shipping-wise.
Complicated enough for ya?
Please keep in mind WE ARE ON PACIFIC STANDARD TIME. We are also a family, not a business, so please be courteous. I ask
you to not call in the middle of the night, or “forget” we’re on Pacific time if it’s 8 am and you’re in Florida – that kind of thing.
