I know we are much bigger than fruit flies but I also read that Sean O'Donnell, a professor of Biology at Drexel University in Philadelphia told CBS News they were hoping to develop it ( the erythritol, I think) into a human-safe insecticide. I'm not an expert, just happened to read it.
deb kAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5526768924178592295.post-66929215918617752252013-01-22T08:59:00.450-08:002013-01-22T08:59:00.450-08:00I used these as a Home Ec project for my oldest da...I used these as a Home Ec project for my oldest daughter yesterday (she's 8) and they were fantastic! Tastes great. Since it's canned, it will be fine on the shelf for years. Hours would blur, day would become night and vice versa, and food choices were often dictated by other than my own kitchen at home. That was the start of eating what sounds good at the time, irrespective of mealtime traditions. Though we tend toward more "normal" choices, enchiladas for breakfast and waffles for dinner are fine by me.

Jeff - TucsonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5526768924178592295.post-7806150311671304242013-01-09T21:48:50.473-08:002013-01-09T21:48:50.473-08:00is that the garlic that you canned recently? if so...is that the garlic that you canned recently? if so how did it turn out after sitting on the self for a while?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5526768924178592295.post-56629467573858481762013-01-09T10:04:07.104-08:002013-01-09T10:04:07.104-08:00We make these frequently, but use them for dinner,...We make these frequently, but use them for dinner, not breakfast.
On another note, I cannot believe the earlier comment about "healthy" eating. First off, who said this is a healthy eating blog? More like a healthy living blog, spiritual, emotional, physical, mental. Second point, several years ago, due to living circumstances beyond my control, our family went from a lifestyle of eating out frequently (4 or 5 times per week) to eating only home cooked from scratch meals. In 4 weeks I lost over 18 pounds without trying or even realizing it until my clothes were falling off of me. The menu: 100% Whole Wheat bread baked daily, cream soups, salads with all the goodies, meatloaf, lasagna, chicken milanese, prime rib with baked potato, glazed carrots, chicken/cashew salad sandwiches, whole wheat cinnamon rolls, whole wheat crust cheesecake, and a bunch more items like these. We were working at my mom's restaurant and she did not use any low fat or sugar free or margarine or anything that people think is healthy. Just real food.
After reading this, I am hungry and missing my mom's restaurant!
Patrice, keep up the good work of writing and living this healthy blog!Tricianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5526768924178592295.post-70444007512669872502013-01-09T08:25:05.865-08:002013-01-09T08:25:05.865-08:00I LOVE garlic cheddar biscuits, so thank you for s...I LOVE garlic cheddar biscuits, so thank you for sharing your recipe and tips with us!LindaGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12203719919661519350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5526768924178592295.post-15649615955353067312013-01-09T08:20:03.390-08:002013-01-09T08:20:03.390-08:00wow is this a joke?! You know why? Because we work hard farming and raising livestock. Sitting on you butt makes you unhealthy, not eating some biscuits for breakfast.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5526768924178592295.post-91107548251732420822013-01-09T08:03:08.887-08:002013-01-09T08:03:08.887-08:00Look delicious. Several other
recipes on your blog should be corrected to represent the healthy way of eating: low carbs, no sugars except a little honey or Truvia, etc. You make what your family requests, and recipes look and sound good, but they are not good for you.
