The orchard was probably wiped out, and the bull pen fencing was wiped out but not the barn or even the bull pen sheds. The new owners also lost their rabbits and the second garden they placed in our "triangle pasture" But the new owner is now sold on the rock covered tarps we put down in the main garden for weeds.Don Lewishttp://www.rural-revolution.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5526768924178592295.post-58972785780370583702021-08-19T18:08:10.197-07:002021-08-19T18:08:10.197-07:00went to Bing and from there to Go Fund Me and had ...went to Bing and from there to Go Fund Me and had no problem donatingdaledee1946@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15068491652988223022noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5526768924178592295.post-44591003407807807842021-08-19T10:37:56.470-07:002021-08-19T10:37:56.470-07:00I will never understand why there at not fire lane...I will never understand why there at not fire lanes -breaks - out west. Growing up in the east, we had swaths clear cut every so many miles. We had many fires started by trains. Fires could more easily be contained when they came to a break. No they were not pretty but we never had the horrendous fires for hundreds of thousands of acres.Bunkervillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14427978686579892380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5526768924178592295.post-7408800637995984882021-08-19T07:45:57.140-07:002021-08-19T07:45:57.140-07:00Was just watching the local news and they showed t...Was just watching the local news and they showed this fire as being started by train sparks. Total bummer. Hope they had decent insurance, your go fund me page should help out in the mean time. It must be a terrible feeling, though, to be going into winter with no home and, even worse, no feed. I know I always heave a sigh of relief when we have a barn full of hay ready for cold weather.
