Don't let your guard down

Here's my WND column for this weekend entitled "Preparedness: Now more than ever."

  1. I agree with Patrice’s article. I just question if anyone is listening at this point besides serious action-minded preppers. As the saying goes, waking up Americans ‘is like teaching a pig to sing. It wastes your time and it annoys the pig.’ Personally I gave up on people who call themselves Americans (and evil DC) when the Republican’s NDAA destroyed THEIR Bill of Rights. If Americans didn’t wake up they will never wake up.

The vast majority of Americans are too self-absorbed in frivolous pursuits to accept reality. Their country is falling around them while they are consumed with texting, cell phones, selfies, sports, recreation, leisure, entertainment, TV, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Pokemon GO etc. Oh, and did I mention personal debt? Yea, it's fun. And it's a lot easier than preparing to protect their love ones. Their suffering will be Biblical...

  2. We are in a situation that may not be apparent to all. The left has just turned lefter with the election of Tom Perez and the many things the DNC has said since Trump was elected. And as you pointed out the debt is like a huge asteroid hurtling through space aimed at America. And the best thing the Democrats could do for the 2018 and 2020 election (assuming that they are anti-American traitors which we all know is true) is to cause the economy to crash. Arguably that is what they did in 2008 to get Obama elected. But this time it will be worse for a number of reasons and the increased debt is one of those reasons. They will continue to riot, become ungovernable, undermine the administration and thwart legislation that would help Americans and the economy. The time on this isn't critical. If they do it within months we still won't have recovered by 2016 elections and if it takes a year and a half it will still affect the election. So prepare. The neo-alt-left is going to take us down and feed of the remains.

  3. Really good Patrice. I am a newbie prepper though being an ADULT I have always been finally responsible. I have water and garden but beyond that feel overwhelmed at what to do next. Do you have any step by step recommendations? Thank you!

It's a good time to get off the X ...

... but then again, any time is a good time to get off the X.

  5. We will soon look back and say ‘Those were the Good Old Days'.

    Examples using Sam's Club.
Enriched White Rice $15 for 50 lbs.
Black Beans $10 for 10 lbs.
    Unlimited quantities are available today.

Imagine the torture watching your loved ones suffer greatly and saying to yourself, 'If I had just listened to Patrice and spent a lousy $200....'

  6. Excellent article Patrice! Apparently I failed to hit submit... Anyway do you have a recommendation for step by step prepping for the newbie? It can seem so overwhelming. Thank you, Angela

    1. Actually, I was holding your earlier comment as a reminder to put up a comprehensive blog post on the subject. It's far too big to reply here, but I'll put up a post shortly.

  7. Commented on the WND site, but also wanted to reply here. Personal TEOTWAWKI in the form of illness, job loss, or natural disasters are most likely to affect us at one time or another. Job loss was mine, and thankfully I had been prepping for a bit before then. Made a big difference, actually saved us. Trump inherited a disaster many years in the making (beyond the Obummer years) and he can't fix it all as much as we'd like to believe he can. But he has bought us all some time. Let's make the best of it. We can't sway the snowflakes, but we can all educate and encourage others to be better prepared.
