New and Improved 23rd Psalm

Can't take credit, this was forwarded to me.

Obama is the shepherd I did not want.
He leadeth me beside the still factories.
He restoreth my faith in the Republican party.
He guideth me in the path of unemployment for his party's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the bread line,
I shall fear no hunger, for his bailouts are with me.
He has anointed my income with taxes,
My expenses runneth over.
Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will live in a mortgaged home forever.

  1. Dear Mrs. Lewis,

Thanks for that tongue-in-cheek chuckle. If it wasn't so true, it might be funnier.

I don't recognize my country anymore. It has changed so quickly since January 20th, and the country I used to know, enjoy and live in has changed. It seems to me as though what was good and right is now abhorrent, and what used to be bad is now praiseworthy.

Moreover, the country I love is administrated by someone who promised transparency, yet wears a mask, unwilling to prove his bona fides for the office he holds. America can tolerate leaders who lie, are attached to scandals or other problems; what America cannot tolerate is a leader cloaked in secrecy. Secrecy is for countries engaged in the subjugation of the populace, and not for the Land of the Free.

I am not silent; I am a letter writer, email sender and petition signer. I will stand up for what I believe is best for America.

And I cannot wait for the next Congressional elections.
